Staff Engineer, Developer AI, Machine Learning

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in software development.
• 5 years of experience testing, and launching software products.
• 5 years of experience in the Machine Learning field.
• 5 years of experience developing with Python.
• 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.

Nice to haves:

• Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• 8 years of experience with data structures/algorithms.
• 3 years of experience working in an organization involving cross-functional, or cross-business projects.
• Experience in building products using Machine Learning techniques including Natural Language Processing (NLP).

What you'll be doing:

• Solve ambiguous technical issues, applying Large Language Models (LLMs) to produce code edits.
• Set the technical direction and goals for the team, to solve use cases for Google.
• Collaborate with other DevAI teams, Google DeepMind and Coding Tools teams on prototypes employing new research in Natural Language Processing (NLP) for code.
