Requirements

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
2 years of experience with security engineering, computer and network security and security protocols.
2 years of coding experience in one or more general purpose languages.
2 years of experience with security assessments, security design reviews, or threat modeling.

Nice to haves

Programming experience in Go or Python.
Experience with cloud infrastructure and services, including common security challenges or solutions related to cloud infrastructure and services.
Experience in security engineering, security architecture or consulting.
Strong communication and documentation skills.

Identify security issues and implement and design security controls, tools, and services to improve security systems and processes.
Design and build/implement security solutions and identify, measure, and remediate security gaps in Alphabet's infrastructure using public clouds and on-premise physical networks.
Review designs for cloud architecture and already deployed infrastructure to perform technical security assessments to develop threat models, provide design feedback, report security findings, and provide remediation recommendations.
Design solutions/develop documentation to ensure Alphabet's infrastructure using public clouds, on-premise physical networks, and other third-party hosted software and systems operates to the highest security standards.
