Visiting Faculty Researcher, Human Centered AI

Requirements:

• PhD degree in Human Factors, Psychology, Human Computer Interaction, Cognitive Science, Computer Science, Information Science, a related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience conducting qualitative research with strengths and shortcomings of different methods, including their application during each product phases like interviews, usability testing, diary studies, contextual inquiries, surveys, benchmarking.
• Experience in contributing to research communities or efforts, including publishing papers at academic conferences (e.g., CHI, UIST, NIPS, ICML, ACL, CVPR, etc).

Nice to haves:

• Experience in addressing misinformation in technology or in academics.
• Experience in Human Computer Interaction.
• Experience in using Generative AI products.

What you'll be doing:

• Conduct qualitative research (e.g., interviews, workshops) on topics related to responsible Artificial Intelligence (AI).
• Develop design and evaluation guidance for responsible AI systems.
• Work with vulnerable populations and community-based organizations, and design study protocols to comply with related human subjects and data ethics standards.
