PhD degree in Human Factors, Psychology, Human Computer Interaction, Cognitive Science, Computer Science, Information Science, a related field or equivalent practical experience.
5 years of experience conducting qualitative research with strengths and shortcomings of different methods, including their application during each product phases like interviews, usability testing, diary studies, contextual inquiries, surveys, benchmarking.
Experience in contributing to research communities or efforts, including publishing papers at academic conferences (e.g., CHI, UIST, NIPS, ICML, ACL, CVPR, etc).
Nice to haves:
Experience in addressing misinformation in technology or in academics.
Experience in Human Computer Interaction.
Experience in using Generative AI products.
What you'll be doing:
Conduct qualitative research (e.g., interviews, workshops) on topics related to responsible Artificial Intelligence (AI).
Develop design and evaluation guidance for responsible AI systems.
Work with vulnerable populations and community-based organizations, and design study protocols to comply with related human subjects and data ethics standards.
