Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
8 years of experience in software development.
5 years of experience testing, and launching software products.
3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
2 years of experience working with Content Management System (CMS) ecosystems including participation in the core development of a CMS, or 2 years of experience in developing, managing, and troubleshooting websites on a CMS platform.
Nice to haves:
Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
8 years of experience with data structures/algorithms.
3 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.
3 years of experience working in a structured organization involving cross-functional, or cross-business projects.

What you'll be doing:
Act as the engineering leader of the SiteKit product, collaborating with extended workforce engineers and cross-functional partners to develop the future of SiteKit.
Act as a technical bridge between sitekit (SK) team and Google engineering realm.
Follow AI trends and innovate SiteKit accordingly, offering site owners the best opportunities to monitor performance and advance.
Understand the dynamics of the Web Ecosystem, the needs of small creators, the opportunities of CMSes, and the possibilities through WordPress and other platforms.
Collaborate with representatives of product areas (PAs) inside Search, Ads, etc., to align the product with the needs of Google and the Web Ecosystem.
