Software Engineer II, Trust, YouTube

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 1 year of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
• 1 year of experience with data structures and algorithms.
• 1 year of experience implementing core ML concepts.

Nice to haves:

• Experience with Machine Learning (ML), Computer Vision and data analysis (e.g., head room analysis/opportunity sizing).

What you'll be doing:

• Analyze and understand gaps in our content understanding.
• Build classifiers for YouTube videos, livestreams, and images using various modalities (e.g., video, image, audio, audio transcripts, metadata).
• Apply novel machine learning methods to address a variety of Trust and Safety issues.
• Apply foundational Machine Learning (ML) concepts and contribute to the implementation of solutions in one or more specialized ML areas.
• Collaborate with research, operations, and product teams.
