Bachelor's degree in Network Engineering or Telecom Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
2 years of experience with networking protocols and troubleshooting.
Experience with optical networking and deployment.
Experience in optical transmissions systems (DWDM) or LAN/Wireless Protocols or TCP/IP.
Nice to haves:
Experience with field operation technicians, engineers, contractors, or vendors in a telecommunications working environment (eg: installation, commissioning and network troubleshooting).
Experience in one or more of the following disciplines; Layer 1 optical transmissions systems, layer 3 routing TCP/IP, wireless networking, network design, or operations.

Build and operate Google's network reliably and at scale.
Execute deployment, maintenance, and operations of private data networks worldwide.
Develop creative approaches and collaborate with cross-functional teams to keep operational costs low.
Monitor the network and repair issues while anticipating needs and escalating issues.
Own network documentation, update and maintain network designs and plans.
