Requirements:

Associate's degree, trade school certification or other verifiable training in a relevant technical field or equivalent practical experience.
5 years of experience working in mission critical facility maintenance and operations to perform switching on High Voltage (HV) and Medium Voltage (MV) equipment.
Experience with troubleshooting for electrical distribution systems.

Nice to haves:

Experience planning and executing installation, commissioning, and equipment startup, following industry best practices and protocols.
Understanding of mechanical systems in data center environments and controls/monitoring systems.
Knowledge of meters, devices, sensors, and troubleshooting utilizing standard hand tools, digital metering, or calibration/diagnostic equipment.
Knowledge on electrical distribution systems with a focus on high and medium voltage installation and including protection and controls.
Ability to communicate in English and French fluently, to support client relationship management in this region.
Excellent written, verbal communication and teamwork skills with the ability to prioritize work efficiently.

Direct the full startup, commissioning, and integration of electrical infrastructure, ensuring seamless facilities turnover and documentation while providing key operational insights during the design review process.
Guarantee uptime for electrical distribution and power monitoring systems by conducting regular inspections, executing repairs, and troubleshooting critical data center equipment to maintain optimal functionality and reliability.
Manage mission-critical control room operations, effectively monitoring information streams to detect abnormal conditions and make accurate, real-time decisions that ensure continuous system stability and performance.
Develop strategies to reduce operational costs and improve efficiency, whilst producing standards and templates for power quality monitoring, diagnostics, and preventive maintenance logs for critical systems.
Demonstrate strict adherence to the site’s environmental health and safety policies, ensuring all operational tasks and maintenance procedures align perfectly with established safety protocols and regulations.
