Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
1 year of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
1 year of experience building and developing large-scale infrastructure or distributed systems.

Nice to haves:

1 year of experience with data structures or algorithms.
Experience one or more of Server Platform/Pod, Spanner, BigTable and Flume.
Experience thriving in agile environments, adapting to changing requirements, and delivering results.
Understanding of large-scale architecture design and implementation.
Expertise in designing, building, and operating large-scale, reliable, and scalable systems, in the context of consumer-facing products.
Ability to collaborate effectively across organizational boundaries and navigate complex constraints.

Develop and implement robust monitoring, alerting, and data validation strategies across our distributed systems to ensure the delivery of consistent, reliable, and high-quality metric data. Build and augment fault-tolerant systems.
Contribute to the development and enhancement of the YouTube Metrics Aggregator (YTMAgg), our innovative platform for large-scale, real-time metric aggregation.
Drive the evolution of how YouTube's key user-facing metrics are computed, adapting to new viewing experiences and products.
Manage and optimize the processing of billions of daily events, ensuring efficient and scalable solutions for batch and streaming data pipelines, utilizing key internal infrastructure such as BigTable, Flume.
