Bachelor's degree in Network Engineering or Telecom Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
2 years of experience with networking protocols and troubleshooting.
Experience in optical or IP network operations.

Experience in scripting or coding for automation (e.g., Python, Go).
Experience with network monitoring, alarming, and ticketing systems.

What you'll be doing:
Operate Google's network reliably and at scale, and act as a first responder for faults and outages on Google's production network.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex network issues across optical transport and IP networking domains to restore service and maintain network health.
Participate in an on-call rotation.
Monitor the network and repair issues while anticipating needs and escalating issues.
Own network documentation, and update and maintain network designs and plans.
