Requirements:
- Associate's degree, trade school certification, or other certified training in a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience in troubleshooting mechanical, cooling, and commercial HVAC systems.
- Ability to perform material handling (lifting/shifting), work on platforms and ladders, and access tight spaces (such as under raised floors).
- Ability to work non-standard hours, including rotational shifts, weekends, and holidays to support 24x7 operations.
Nice to haves:
- Current F-Gas Certification and a full driving license.
- Experience in the planning and execution of equipment installation, commissioning, and adherence to manufacturer protocols.
- Experience in the operation and maintenance of mission-critical facilities such as data centers, hospitals, power plants, and HV electrical substations.
- Experience with electrical, mechanical, and control systems, including HVAC (e.g., cooling towers, chillers), power distribution (e.g., generators, UPS, ATS/STS), and monitoring (e.g., PDU/PMM units).
What you'll be doing:
- Inspect, maintain, and repair various data center systems such as piping and mechanical system components.
- Provide daily assistance to technicians as you read blueprints/schematics/sequence of operations, conduct tours of systems, and assess their working order.
- Manage the uptime and maintenance of water pumps and treatment systems, HVAC and control and monitoring systems.
- Operate, monitor, maintain, and respond to abnormal conditions in the data center facilities systems and equipment.
- Support startup, commissioning, and integration of new mechanical equipment and systems into facilities infrastructure.
