Software Engineer II, Consent and Transparency

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 1 year of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
• 1 year of experience with data structures and algorithms.
• Experience with configuring a suite of applications and services for data analysis, visualization, exploration, and management.

Nice to haves:

• Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• 1 year of experience with Spanner, logs analysis, SQL.
• 1 year of experience with ensuring data correctness and a passion for uncovering user behavior patterns hidden within logs.
• 1 year of experience with building and leveraging metrics pipelines to transform raw data into actionable insights.

What you'll be doing:

• Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices.
• Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.
• Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
• Write product or system development code, participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies.
• Build and improve data pipelines for ingesting, processing, and surfacing consent-related data to power Google-wide analytics and insights.
