Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
8 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
5 years of experience building and developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage, or hardware architecture.
5 years of experience testing, and launching software products.
3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
Nice to haves:
5 years of experience in working with and influencing a group of people.
Experience in a security-related role, specifically in infrastructure security or distributed systems security.
Experience with coding in an unmanaged language (e.g., Rust, C, C++).

What you'll be doing:
Drive the long-term strategy for Borglet security and other core development areas.
Work with other security-focused technical leads to propose and prioritize security-related initiatives for Google's fleet.
Translate user requirements into technical features and capabilities.
Design solutions to problems or efforts spanning through multiple systems in and outside of the team.
Plan and oversee the execution of the implementation efforts.
