Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
2 years of experience with programming in C++ or Python, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
1 year of experience with one or more of the following: Speech/audio, reinforcement learning, ML infrastructure, or specialization in another ML field.
1 year of experience with ML infrastructure (e.g., model deployment, model evaluation, optimization, data processing, debugging).
Experience with Data Analysis.
Nice to haves:
Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
2 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
Experience developing accessible technologies.
Experience with Big Data Processing.
What you'll be doing:
Conceive, build, and launch novel ML models and solutions, from initial idea to full production deployment, addressing and ambiguous problems.
Integrate ML classifiers from other teams, harmonizing them into a classification system that delivers unified insights.
Analyze problems, such as spikes in abuse or emerging platform vulnerabilities, to devise aimed solutions for mitigation and prevention.
Collaborate with a group of stakeholders across YouTube, advocating data-motivated solutions and influencing platform-wide strategies.
Be comfortable doing some amount of infrastructure work (e.g., launch a Machine Learning (ML) classifier), designing and implementing data pipelines, system optimization, or maintaining crucial classification infrastructure.
