Electrical Engineer, Data Center Construction and Design

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Construction Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• 3 years of experience in design development of electrical power distribution and data center infrastructure products.
• 3 years of experience with Electrical Engineering for construction projects in a data center colocation facility.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing vendor relationships, with an understanding of standard practices in the design and construction industry.
• Experience working with data center equipment/environments (including switchgear, generators, controls, security monitoring systems, fire safety systems), with an understanding of start up/commissioning processes.
• Experience managing construction projects within an international working environment.
• Ability to travel 15% of the time as needed.

What You'll Be Doing

• Act as the lead electrical subject matter expert, providing technical leadership to resolve critical field issues and troubleshooting advanced system events.
• Support program managers and coordinate with contractors, vendors, and authorities to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.
• Provide technical leadership to the projects, support and optimise project design, scope, schedule, quality, commissioning and safety for electrical discipline. Provide feedback to the central partner teams on possible improvements.
• Drive project electrical outcomes of high complexity and scope as a key contributor, integrating feedback from multiple stakeholders, when necessary.
• Contribute to and review the quality and commissioning plans for the electrical discipline. Support electrically relevant Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and all off and on site commissioning.
