Director of Engineering - FinTech Billing

Requirements:

• Experience in engineering leadership, including proven success in a 2nd line management role within a software development environment.
• Deep domain expertise in FinTech, billing systems, payments, or financial platform engineering.
• Proven ability to design, build, and operate finance-critical systems at scale, ideally within large SaaS, Enterprise Tech, FinTech, or eCommerce companies.
• Experience working with and integrating ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite) and other financial platforms.
• Strong architectural skills and the ability to lead technical strategy for complex distributed systems.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Lead the design, development, and scaling of finance-critical systems.
• Drive the technical strategy and architectural evolution for the Billing group.
• Partner closely with senior leaders across Product Management, Finance, UX, and other Engineering groups.
• Ensure high data integrity and audit readiness across financial systems.
• Foster a culture of operational excellence and collaboration within your teams and across functional boundaries.
• Mentor and develop engineering leaders and engineers within your organization.
• Reduce time-to-market for monetization changes by improving system architecture and internal tooling.

Nice to Haves:

• Experience with complex recurring revenue models (ARR), SaaS/subscription management, and usage-based billing is highly desirable.
