Production Engineer

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience
• Strong experience in UNIX and TCP/IP network fundamentals
• Extensive coding experience
• Experience learning development languages (Python, C++, Rust, PHP/Hack, Go, Java)
• Experience learning software, frameworks and APIs
• Experience with Internet service architecture capacity planning and/or handling needs for urgent capacity augmentation
• Knowledge of common web technologies and/or Internet service architectures (such as LAMP or MEAN stacks, CDN, Load Balancing techniques, etc.)
• Experience configuring and running infrastructure level applications, such as Kubernetes, Terraform, MySQL, etc

What You'll Be Doing

• Support new platforms with end-to-end ownership of Core System scope to deliver robust and performant hardware platforms
• Support back-end services, front-end services, infrastructure components, core services, MySQL deployments, networking systems, etc.
• Write and review code, develop documentation and capacity plans, and debug complex systems
• Share an on-call rotation and be an escalation contact for service incidents
• Partner alongside top engineers in the industry
