BA/BS in Computer Science, Math/Finance, Physics, Applied Economics, Statistics or other technical field. Advanced degrees
Experience with relational databases and SQL
Experience coding in at least one of the following: PHP, Python, Haskell, or Java
What You'll Be Doing:
Apply your expertise in online abuse, technical investigations and data analysis to identify opportunities to make Facebook’s response to abuse of its platforms measurably better
Work independently or partner with software engineering, data science and operations to leverage those opportunities at scale
Contribute to a variety of codebases across Facebook’s technical stack: Haskell, python, php
Be a thought leader, bring your deep understanding of online abuse and adversarial behaviours to software engineering teams, and guide teams’ overall direction
Be comfortable with quickly changing priorities, adversarial shifts and multiple initiatives running simultaneously
Nice to Haves:
Experience working across the broader anti-abuse/security/Trust & Safety community
Experience investigating and acting on high-impact threats and online threat actors
Proven track record of managing and executing on short term and long term projects
Experience in adversarial space like financial fraud, spam, child safety
Demonstrated understanding of security and integrity risks, and how they apply to Facebook and its users
Experience working in an environment with minimal oversight, being self-driven, prioritising and executing independently
