Director, Software Engineering

Requirements

• Significant technical industry experience
• Strong management experience
• Demonstrated experience recruiting, building, structuring, leading technical organizations, including performance management
• Proven track record managing globally distributed teams

What You'll Be Doing

• Build, manage and support varied teams of software & hardware engineers and engineering managers/directors
• Provide both technical and organizational leadership
• Form cross-functional and cross-discipline partnerships to drive engineering efforts
• Establish effective strategies and execute against them
• Uphold a culture of respect, integrity, inclusion, innovation

Nice to Haves

• Experience with AR/VR or related fields including robotics, automotive, aerospace and digital photography
• Experience with sensors for AI such as: Camera, IMUs and depth sensing, Management and creation of synthetic spatial data, Sensor simulation / emulation, Sensor tuning and calibration, Image processing algorithms
• Experience with Spatial AI techniques such as: Core computer vision / ML, 3D spatial reasoning, mapping and reconstruction, GIS fundamentals, Mixed reality
