Production Engineer - Backbone Network

Requirements

• Experience coding in higher-level languages (e.g. C++, GoLang, Python, or PHP)
• Experience with software development, frameworks and APIs
• Experience building, maintaining, and debugging production services/platforms
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience

Nice to Haves

• Experience with distributed web-scale systems
• Depth of understanding in routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF and ISIS
• Depth of understanding in areas such as operating systems or TCP/IP network fundamentals

What You'll Be Doing

• Develop and review code, develop documentation and capacity plans, and debug the hardest problems on large systems
• Own the end to end reliability and scalability of backbone networks
• Share an on-call rotation and be an escalation contact for live service incidents
• Work alongside top engineers on high-impact projects
• Manage and maintain datacenter, backbone, and edge networks
• Define and develop optimized network monitoring systems
