Software Engineer II

Requirements:

• Works with appropriate stakeholders to determine user requirements for a set of features.
• Contributes to the identification of dependencies and the development of design documents for a product area with little oversight.
• Creates and implements code for a product, service, or feature, reusing code as applicable.
• Acts as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) monitoring system/product feature/service for issues and gaining approval to restore for simple problems.
• Remains current in skills to improve product availability, reliability, and performance while ensuring consistency in monitoring and operations at scale.
• Advocates for customers and ensures their success with software and services.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND technical engineering experience with coding in languages like C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.

Other Requirements:

• Must meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including passing the Microsoft Cloud Background Check.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND technical engineering experience with coding in languages like C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND technical engineering experience with coding in languages like C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.
• Experience in AI and machine learning, including NLP, LLM, and building AI-driven systems.
• Experience in designing scalable distributed system architectures, microservices, and robust CI/CD pipelines.
