Software Engineer II, Microsoft Entra

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field
• Proven experience in software engineering with C#, C++, Java, or other object-oriented programming languages
• Collaboration skills for working across local and global teams within Microsoft
• Practical experience with cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure, AWS, or equivalent
• Knowledge of troubleshooting in networking, application layers, caching, load balancing, and distributed systems
• Experience with SQL-like query languages
• Practical experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and methodologies
• Quick learning and adaptation to new technologies
• Fluency in English

Nice to Haves

• Experience with DevOps practices and tools
• Understanding of microservices architecture
• Previous work in a similar role at a technology company

What You'll Be Doing

• Designing and developing robust, scalable, and maintainable software components for Microsoft Entra services
• Participating in code reviews, architectural discussions, and agile ceremonies
• Identifying dependencies and contributing to design documents
• Participating in on-call rotations, issue triaging, and advocating for service improvements
• Enhancing system and service availability, reliability, resiliency, efficiency, and performance
• Contributing to automation efforts across production and deployment pipelines
• Debugging and resolving complex issues
• Maintaining existing systems and services to meet Service Level Objectives (SLOs)
• Mentoring team members and fostering an inclusive engineering environment
