Senior Cloud Network Engineer

Requirements:

• Technical experience in network design, development, and automation
• OR Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field AND technical experience in network design, development, and automation
• OR Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND technical experience in network design, development, and automation
• OR Doctorate Degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

Additional or Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience delivering network designs into production and experience with live site accountability for a network
• Experience in networking, scripting, and software development. Familiarity/hands-on experience with any network device operating systems (Sonic, Arista, Cisco, Juniper)
• Cisco CCNA (or equivalent) and experience with Linux/Unix operating systems and Windows servers
• Writing automation in languages such as Python, Powershell or C#
• Writing scripts that use REST APIs, Syslog, XML, SNMP, and other Network Management Systems
• Knowledge of TCP/IP fundamentals along with a basic understanding of IP networking MPLS, BGP, ISIS, OSPF, and Anycast routing
• Managing and troubleshooting network issues. Experience working on large scale networks
• Leadership, coordination, and teamwork skills. Ability to work independently on complex tasks
• Motivated to drive leading edge technologies. Understanding of TCP/IP, BGP, and Anycast

What You'll Be Doing:

• Collaborates with appropriate stakeholders to determine user requirements for a scenario
• Drives identification of dependencies and the development of design documents for a product, application, service, or platform
• Creates, implements, optimizes, debugs, refactors, and reuses code to establish and improve performance and maintainability, effectiveness, and ROI
• Leverages subject-matter expertise of product features and partners with appropriate stakeholders to drive project plans, release plans, and work items
• Acts as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) and guides other engineers, proactively seeks new knowledge and adapts to new trends and solutions
