Technical experience in network design, development, and automation
OR Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field AND technical experience in network design, development, and automation
OR Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND technical experience in network design, development, and automation
OR Doctorate Degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
Additional or Preferred Qualifications:
Experience delivering network designs into production and experience with live site accountability for a network
Experience in networking, scripting, and software development. Familiarity/hands-on experience with any network device operating systems (Sonic, Arista, Cisco, Juniper)
Cisco CCNA (or equivalent) and experience with Linux/Unix operating systems and Windows servers
Writing automation in languages such as Python, Powershell or C#
Writing scripts that use REST APIs, Syslog, XML, SNMP, and other Network Management Systems
Knowledge of TCP/IP fundamentals along with a basic understanding of IP networking MPLS, BGP, ISIS, OSPF, and Anycast routing
Managing and troubleshooting network issues. Experience working on large scale networks
Leadership, coordination, and teamwork skills. Ability to work independently on complex tasks
Motivated to drive leading edge technologies. Understanding of TCP/IP, BGP, and Anycast
What You'll Be Doing:
Collaborates with appropriate stakeholders to determine user requirements for a scenario
Drives identification of dependencies and the development of design documents for a product, application, service, or platform
Creates, implements, optimizes, debugs, refactors, and reuses code to establish and improve performance and maintainability, effectiveness, and ROI
Leverages subject-matter expertise of product features and partners with appropriate stakeholders to drive project plans, release plans, and work items
Acts as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) and guides other engineers, proactively seeks new knowledge and adapts to new trends and solutions
