Principal Software Engineer

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
• OR equivalent experience
• Solid technical problem-solving skills
• Experience with leading distributed teams and projects

Nice to Haves:

• Experience with large-scale high performance software systems and understanding of software architecture and design

What You'll Be Doing:

• You will work as a Microsoft Software Engineer in Oslo with a focus on performance, availability, reliability, and consistency
• You will collaborate with local and remote partners to develop optimal solutions at large scale
• You will determine user requirements for complex scenarios and provide technical leadership for design documents
• You will mentor others to produce maintainable code and be responsible for software services from design to rollout
• You will develop clean and effective code, ensuring readiness for change and shipping to millions of users worldwide
