UI Engineer 5, Design System

Requirements

• Front End Dev & Tooling skills: Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, React, HTML/CSS, and related technologies.
• Design System / Component Library Experience: Building and maintaining UI component libraries, component architecture, APIs, and composition patterns.
• Communication & Influence: Ability to advocate for reducing developer overhead and encourage contributions to the Design System.

What You'll Be Doing

• Development: Build and maintain a scalable Design System, ensuring consistent, accessible, and high-performance user experience across internal web applications.
• Cross Functional Execution: Translate Figma designs into robust, reusable UI components, ensuring visual and functional parity between design and code.
• Evangelism: Drive adoption and quality of the Design System, support engineering teams, improve documentation, establish usage guidelines, and gather feedback.
• Innovation: Follow industry trends, seek opportunities to evolve the Design System tooling functionality and innovation in UI development workflows.
• Leverage GenAI: Boost the Design System’s adoption and developer experience through AI-powered tools.

• Experience collaborating with design teams using Figma workflows.
