Staff Software Engineer, Data Platform

Requirements:

• 10+ years of software engineering experience building and designing scalable applications, tools, or distributed systems
• Experience designing, building, documenting, and distributing robust and delightful platform solutions end to end
• Deep understanding and interest in DevOps tools and technologies
• Proficiency in Kafka operations and building platform tools that utilize Kafka
• Experience in development processes and practices
• Experience in prototype, build, deploy, and operate data streaming applications

Nice to haves:

• Hands-on experience with database technologies like Debezium
• Interest in acting as a mentor or role model to other engineers

What you'll be doing:

• Conceptualize and own technical solutions end-to-end
• Invest in experimenting and building platform solutions
• Teach engineers how to use tools
• Manage technical debt and refactor existing solutions
• Drive the platform forward with new ideas and strategies
