Full Stack Software Engineer - Quora (Remote)

Requirements:

• Availability for meetings and impromptu communication during Quora's "coordination hours" (Mon-Fri: 9am-3pm Pacific Time)
• 2+ years of full-time professional experience building consumer web products (excluding internships)
• Knowledge of frontend technologies such as React and Typescript
• Excellent skills in Python or similar programming language
• Professional experience leveraging backend storage systems such as MySQL, MyRocks, Memcached, or Redis
• Experience working with large-scale distributed systems and understanding the challenges involved in building scalable solutions

Preferred Requirements:

• 2+ years of frontend experience with technologies like React, Javascript, Typescript
• Love of the Quora products

What You'll Be Doing:

• Develop full stack web applications with Python and React
• Contribute to projects shaping core product experience, driving growth, moderation, and empowering creators
• Design and launch product features at massive scale through data-driven iterations
• Drive projects from ideation to production using the full technology stack
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prototype and implement functionality
• Participate in the team’s on-call rotation for product reliability
