Senior Software Engineer - Control Plane

Requirements

• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• 6+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years in cloud computing (AWS, Azure, or GCP) or platform engineering
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills; proven ability to build alignment across teams
• Ownership mindset, self-direction, and a passion for solving complex problems
• Strong software engineering fundamentals
• Proficiency in one or more languages: Go, Java, Python, or C++
• Expertise in at least one: platform building, automation, networking, site reliability, configuration management, or IaC (Terraform, Pulumi)
• Strong distributed troubleshooting and incident resolution skills

What You'll Be Doing

• Build a deep understanding of Snowflake’s infrastructure and services
• Apply both infrastructure and software engineering to deliver a highly scalable, resilient, and performant platform
• Provide technical leadership on large, complex projects that span infrastructure, platforms, tools, and automation in the cloud
• Champion platform adoption to meet business goals across partner teams
• Lead and mentor more junior engineers
