Backend Engineer, Core Infrastructure

Requirements

• Enthusiastic engineer with an interest in building backend infrastructure
• Proficient in Java, with a willingness to pick up other programming languages
• Experience with cloud-based environments, CI/CD practices, Kubernetes, and infrastructure-as-code is a plus
• Eager to learn new technologies and expand expertise
• Passion for learning, experimenting, and working with new technologies while adapting quickly

What You'll Be Doing

• Improving core infrastructure systems for Spotify's backend within a collaborative agile team
• Building, supporting, and operating central services and systems with high reliability and scalability
• Working with technologies at the forefront of the current tech landscape at Spotify scale
• Participating in an on-call rotation for operational responsibilities
