Security Engineer II, Detection and Response

Requirements

• Experience and interest in security detection engineering and incident response
• Demonstrable understanding of developer concepts and technologies such as Github, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code
• Crafting repeatable processes and automation using scripting languages
• Understanding of the current threat landscape in SaaS-oriented corporate IT environments
• Experience working in cloud environments such as GCP, AWS, or Azure

What You'll Be Doing

• Identifying new detection opportunities and signal collection support
• Monitoring, processing, and alerting on security signals
• Developing processes for alert prioritization and response
• Proactively identifying security threats and developing detections
• Participating in incident response to drive containment and remediation
• Working with security technologies such as SIEM, EDR, SOAR
• Rapidly prioritizing work based on business needs and risks
• Adapting in a flexible environment and taking on various roles
