Backend Engineer, Platform

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience working directly with stakeholders to understand, document, and develop APIs and systems
• 3+ years of experience in building and operating backend services with Python and/or Java
• Experience working with cloud-based environments (GCP, AWS, or Azure)
• Good understanding of system design, data structures, and algorithms
• Experience building solutions for Finance teams
• Quality focused and able to ship high-quality code

What You'll Be Doing

• Work with Machine Learning experts to design, build, evaluate, ship, and refine Finance’s genAI platform through hands-on backend development
• Collaborate with key internal stakeholders to design backend systems and APIs
• Author and collaborate on technical RFCs to document approaches
• Work with a cross-functional agile team to build new technologies and features
• Take operational responsibility for services owned by your team and join an on-call rotation
