Staff Engineer, Money Movement and Storage

Requirements

• 10+ years of engineering experience
• 3+ years as a staff/principal engineer, architect, tech lead, or equivalent role
• Proven track record of building large scale, complex distributed systems
• Demonstrated ability to balance execution and velocity with security, reliability, and efficiency
• Experience mentoring and investing in the development of other engineers

Nice to Haves

• Experience building systems that interact with and modulate partners
• Experience in the financial world
• Experience building or interacting with B2B payment schemes

What You'll Be Doing

• Advise Stripe leadership on key technology and product roadmap considerations
• Develop and execute against both short and long-term roadmaps
• Design, build, and maintain APIs, services, and systems across Stripe’s engineering teams
• Assist with organizational growth and development within Engineering
• Uphold high engineering standards and improve the codebase and processes
