Software Engineer II - Machine Learning -Maps

Requirements

• Master or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related field AND 3+ years of full-time Software Engineering work experience
• Technical software engineering experience in areas like training using data structures and algorithms, modern machine learning algorithms, machine learning software
• Proficiency in programming languages like Java, Go, Python
• Experience with MapReduce, Spark, and Hive on large datasets
• Collaborative team player

Nice to haves

• Experience working on large-scale distributed systems
• Experience with large scale Machine Learning platforms
• Internships or project experience in machine learning, search, recommendation systems, etc.
• Proven track record of translating insights into business recommendations
• Experience in oncall rotation for high scale distributed system domain

What You'll Be Doing

• Translate business level metrics to engineering problems
• Responsible for end-to-end product - ML model pipeline, backend system design, AB testing, rollout
• Build services to increase map issue resolution accuracy, curate map features
• Collaborate across functions within the team environment
