Software Engineer (RDP)

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional software development experience
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
• Proficiency in backend development with experience in Java, Go, C/C++, or C#
• Strong coding skills focusing on clean, efficient, and maintainable code

Nice to Haves

• 5+ years of professional software development experience
• Strong problem-solving skills with experience in large-scale distributed backend services
• Product mindset with an understanding of user needs and interpreting experimental results
• Experience with OpenTelemetry and/or operating large-scale monitoring infrastructure

What You'll Be Doing

• Design and develop key features for the product portfolio
• Influence technical decisions through code reviews and architectural discussions
• Participate in daily design and planning for new features
• Support engineers globally with Uber’s observability products
