Senior Machine Learning Engineer - Maps

Requirements

• PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related field AND 5-years full-time Software Engineering work experience
• Training using data structures and algorithms
• Modern machine learning algorithms
• Machine Learning Software proficiency
• Sound understanding of computer architecture and CS fundamentals
• Proficiency in Java, Go, Python
• Experience with MapReduce, Spark, and Hive on large datasets
• Collaborative team player

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working on large-scale distributed systems
• Experience on large scale Machine Learning platforms
• Engineering experience solving geospatial problems
• Proven track record in software systems development
• Experience in oncall rotation for high scale distributed system domain

What Will You Be Doing

• Translating business metrics to engineering/science problems
• Shaping the MLE role for the Maps AMS team
• End-to-end product ownership
• Building new services to enhance map offerings
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams
