Senior Software Engineer - Android - Payments Experience

Requirements

• 6+ years of full-time Android engineering experience
• Experience in object-oriented programming, multithreading, networking, and more
• Understanding of Android UI design principles and best practices
• Experience with RESTful APIs and cloud message APIs
• Knowledge of software experimentation and A/B testing

Nice to Haves

• Knowledgeable in Reactive programming (RxJava) and Kotlin
• Comfortable working within large engineering organizations

What You'll Be Doing

• Contribute to Android monorepo for core Uber flows
• Own critical engineering and business challenges
• Work closely with backend engineers and developers for user payment experience
• Define problems, propose solutions with autonomy
• Develop and execute strategic vision and roadmap for the Payment Selection team
