Senior Software Engineer - CI Platform

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience
• Fluency in Java, Go, Python, or C++
• Experience with iOS development and iOS CI systems
• Linux system knowledge
• Experience with provisioning and managing FlowSwiss, GCP, or other cloud infrastructures
• Sound understanding of fundamentals and principles of distributed systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in developer tooling or developer productivity spaces
• Experience using metrics to measure and improve developer experience
• Experience working with teams spanning geographic locations and time zones

What You'll Be Doing

• Partner with fellow engineers to innovate, architect, develop, and scale Uber’s CI Platform
• Provide initiative and technical leadership to build reliable, high-quality solutions that scale with Uber's engineering processes
• Deliver and review technical design, code, and documentation
• Drive ongoing reliability and engineering excellence improvements through design and automation
• Manage upstream and downstream dependencies, collaborate with other engineering teams, and ensure the CI system is highly observable, reliable, and cost-effective
• Support fellow teammates
