Senior Engineering Manager - Jira Cloud Ecosystem

Requirements

• 5+ years of engineering management experience.
• Have successfully scaled engineering teams and developed technical expertise within these teams.
• Have a track record of successful deliveries in projects that required working across teams/org boundaries.
• Setting a high bar for operational excellence across an engineering team. Driving change and accountability to achieve that bar.
• Leading product development teams. Working closely with Product Management, Design, Program Management to set vision and strategy for a platform (or product).
• Outstanding leadership experience, both in person and remote, building a strong partnership at all levels.
• Customer focus (also internal customers). A passion for understanding customers and their needs.
• Experience working across platform and product environments.
• Deep understanding of application security, services, web applications, and modern techniques for building software.
• Have a Bachelor or higher degree, or its equivalent, in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems Management or a closely related field of study.

What You'll Be Doing

• Envision, build and operate services and APIs that empower third-party app development on Jira Cloud and other products.
• Make Jira a powerful and easy-to-use extensibility platform for third-party app development.
• Focus on making the platform cater to the needs of Enterprise customers with security and compliance standards.
• Ensure every team, big or small, can safely customize Jira to their needs.
