Requirements

Currently enrolled in or received a Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Networking or related field (graduated less than 12 months ago)
Knowledge of IP Networking fundamentals such as BGP, OSPF and other R&S technologies
Experience scripting in languages such as Python, Perl or Shell
Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals (networking, storage, operating systems)
Experience (non-internship) in professional software development
Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
Experience in networking, storage systems, operating systems and hands-on systems engineering
Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby

Nice to Haves

Excellent analytical skills. Comfortable working in a Linux/Unix environment
Expert in software systems and system development
Able to handle ambiguous or vaguely defined challenges and articulate technical solutions through abstract thinking
Must be able to integrate and work well as part of a team
Experience with PowerShell (preferred), Python, Ruby, or Java
Experience working in an Agile environment using the Scrum methodology

Design and maintain systems and software supporting AWS network teams operational process and optimize existing process
Support and maintain our next generation data-center networks - Deliver simple, sustainable and repeatable solutions and processes to mitigate complex issues
Identify patterns and plan solutions for future scale and make them available before they are inevitable for AWS network to operate efficiently
Solve complex challenges on an unprecedented scale to allow for automated operations of the Amazon network
