Sr. Software Development Engineer , Aurora Limitless Database

Requirements

• 7+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 7+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team
• 3+ years of building low-level system components of high performance as part of distributed system or working on database internals (query processing preferred)

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
• Building scalable and highly available components in distributed systems

What You'll Be Doing

• Support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (Iot), Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS
• Work on designs and implementation of high-performance system components as part of distributed systems or experience in database internals
• Collaborate with other engineers, database engineers (DBEs), stakeholders to build high-quality distributed databases for the cloud
