Requirements

A relevant degree in a related technical discipline or equivalent experience in a large-scale network environment.
Experience in a network focused hands-on technical role working with routing protocols/technologies and platforms in large scale data centre and/or Wide Area Networking (WAN) environments.
Experience developing engineering, deployment, or operations mechanisms to support IP networking systems and experience in a technical on-call capacity, responding to customer impacting events, mitigating and root cause analysis of those events.
Knowledge & experience of interacting with many network devices at a time through any of networking configuration tools, Infrastructure as Code or scripting.
This role requires you to be a national of an EU member state.

Nice to Haves

Thorough understanding of TCP/IP networking, routing, and Network Security architecture and core technologies such as IP, TCP, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, load balancers, firewalls, ACLs, DNS, DHCP, IP address management.
Knowledge & experience of Linux or other Unix operating systems.
Understands different networking hardware and packet forwarding architectures.
Proficiency in scripting/programming with one or more of Python (preferred), Perl, Ruby, Shell, Java, etc.

Leading network projects in areas such as network sustaining engineering, network deployment/implementation, and network scaling.
Influencing operations function, responding to customer impact events, troubleshooting, and fixing and improving the automation that runs the network.
Analyzing the network using tools and metrics to ensure it is operating correctly, safely, and securely.
Investigating technical issues scientifically and thoroughly, and assisting in fixing complex problems.
Successfully planning, delivering, and simplifying new systems, processes, and tools.
Delivering sustainable and repeatable solutions and processes, optimizing and removing bottlenecks.
