Android Software Engineer II - Multi Vertical Search Apps Experience- Marketplace

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer with Java and/or Kotlin and other languages
• At least 3 years of experience working with the Android SDK
• Self-motivated to explore new technologies, applications, and environments
• Excellent degree of communication skills - being able to effectively communicate to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Excellent attention to detail
• Fully comfortable working in English, both in writing and spoken

What You'll Be Doing:

• Develop, optimize, and maintain core search features in Android apps
• Collaborate with other Android developers and Multi Vertical Search teams
• Ensure high quality of the Booking.com app in production
• Identify, foster, and help colleagues grow professionally
• Improve services to be more performant and resource-optimized
• Ensure Android products and new features stay up-to-date with technology standards
• Implement tests and processes to meet service-level agreements for quality
• Perform profiling, optimize performance, and monitor app health metrics
• Connect business and product goals to complex technical tasks
• Collaborate with various teams to enhance customer experience
• Contribute to Booking.com's growth through recruitment efforts

• Experience with our in-house server-driven UI framework - Saba
• Experience with Google Play Store & Apps Distribution Process
