Library Software Engineer - Java

Requirements:

• Experienced Java/C/C++ developer
• Experience with OpenJDK Java runtime
• Familiar with JVM ins and outs (GC, JIT, bytecode, etc)
• Written clean, correct, well-tested, and performant Java/C++ code
• Experience in measuring and optimizing code
• Strong testing discipline
• Desire to work in a fast, high-growth startup environment

What You'll Be Doing:

• Develop performant code in Java and C/C++
• Work closely with other Libraries teams through working groups and RFCs
• Collaborate with profiling teams to implement new product ideas
• Ensure quality criteria are met through shared testing platforms and metrics

Nice to Haves:

• Experience with JNI
• Previous experience writing a Java Agent
• Experience with JVM instrumentation libraries like byte-buddy, asm, etc.
• Experience with other JVM runtimes such as J9 or GraalVM
• Experience in performance optimization of applications, frameworks, and libraries
