Staff Library Software Engineer - Java

Requirements:

• Experienced Java/C/C++ developer
• Experience with the OpenJDK Java runtime
• Familiar with JVM ins and outs (GC, JIT, bytecode, etc)
• Written clean, correct, well-tested and performant Java/C++ code
• Care about performance and have experience in measuring and optimizing code
• Care about quality and maintain a strong testing discipline
• Want to work in a fast, high growth startup environment

Nice to Haves:

• Experience with JNI
• Written a Java Agent before
• Experience with byte-buddy, asm or other JVM instrumentation libraries
• Experience with other JVM runtimes, such as J9 or GraalVM
• Experience with performance optimization of applications, frameworks and libraries

What You'll Be Doing:

• Develop performant code in Java and C/C++
• Work closely with the other six Libraries teams through working groups and RFCs
• Collaborate with the rest of the profiling teams to make new product ideas happen
• Ensure that your quality criteria are met thanks to our shared testing platform, health metrics, performance monitoring metrics, etc
