Staff Library Software Engineer - Java

Requirements:

• Experienced Java/C/C++ developer
• Experience with the OpenJDK Java runtime
• Familiar with JVM ins and outs (GC, JIT, bytecode, etc)
• Written clean, correct, well-tested, and performant Java/C++ code
• Experience in measuring and optimizing code for performance
• Maintain a strong testing discipline
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced startup environment

What You'll Be Doing:

• Develop performant code in Java and C/C++
• Work closely with other teams through working groups and RFCs
• Collaborate with profiling teams to implement new product ideas
• Ensure quality criteria are met using shared testing platforms and metrics

Nice to Haves (Bonus Points):

• Experience with JNI
• Have written a Java Agent before
• Experience with JVM instrumentation libraries like byte-buddy, asm
• Experience with other JVM runtimes like J9 or GraalVM
• Experience in performance optimization of applications, frameworks, and libraries
