Intermediate Backend Engineer, Security Risk Management: Security Insights (Ruby)

Requirements

• Significant professional experience with Ruby on Rails
• Strong experience with relational databases (postgres preferred)
• Demonstrated capacity to communicate complex technical problems and propose solutions
• Experience with performance and optimization problems
• Comfort working in an intensely iterative software development process
• Effective communication and collaboration skills
• Experience owning a project from concept to production
• Self-motivated and self-managing

What You'll Be Doing

• Develop vulnerability management features and improvements to the GitLab product
• Collaborate with stakeholders to maintain quality
• Advocate for product quality, security, and performance
• Craft code meeting internal standards
• Conduct code reviews and ensure swift community responses
• Recognize and propose solutions for team efficiency
• Ship features with minimal guidance
• Participate in on-call rotations for troubleshooting
