Engineering Division - UI Engineer - Associate - London

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• 4+ years of experience in industry with a specific interest/specialty in SDLC and building high quality, well-tested UIs
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

What You'll Be Doing:

• An exciting opportunity for a UI engineer for a UI product to be used by a large userbase
• Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks like React (and proficient with HTML5, CSS, REST APIs, JSON)
• Experience with automated UI testing with testing frameworks like Cypress
• A keen interest in UX and UI design
• Ability to debug UI-related issues and performance test with tools like Lighthouse
• Excellent communication required to work in collaboration with clients and sponsors
• An interest and understanding of SDLC workflows and engineering best practices (and ideally with experience with tools like Backstage)
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of best practices and coding standards
• Research and evaluate new technologies and software solutions to drive innovation and continuous improvement
• Contribute to software architecture and design decisions
