Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
5 years of experience with systems automation, and with systems design and implementation in production distributed environments.
Experience in TCP/IP and networking concepts (e.g., PXE boot, Subnets, VLANs, Jumbo Frames, LACP, NIC Teaming, Unicast/Broadcast/Multicast, ACLs, DNS, DHCP, SSH, etc.).
Experience in one of the areas of infrastructure (e.g., Linux, Kubernetes, Networking, Storage, etc.).
Ability to obtain and maintain a Level 2 security clearance (SÜ2) under the German Classification Act (SÜG).

Nice to haves:

Experience in technical writing or a related field with various authoring and content management tools.
Experience in scripting languages such as Bash, Perl, Python, and Ruby to automate routine tasks.
Experience in SRE or IT production systems engineering, with knowledge of physical server, storage, and network devices.
Excellent relationship-building skills and the ability to empathize with customers and understand their needs.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Perform day-to-day troubleshooting and resolution of Infrastructure issues (e.g., Network, Storage, Servers, OS, Kubernetes, etc.).
Interact with customers as well as internal development organizations to accomplish shared goals.
Work with technical writers and Google partners to translate technical details into clear, concise language for all audiences.
Participate in Customer, Partner, and Internal team activations and training as needed. Travel internationally up to 25% of the time.
Participate in the 24x7 on-call rotation for client and internal inquiries escalations.
