Software Engineer III, Google Kubernetes Engine Engineering Productivity

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
• 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms.
• 2 years of experience building and developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage, or hardware architecture.

Nice to haves:

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
• Experience with one or more general purpose programming languages including: Java, C/C++, C#, Objective-C, Python, JavaScript, Go, etc.
• Experience with cloud compute such as Google Compute Engine (GCE) and Docker, containers, Kubernetes, Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).

What you'll be doing:

• Design and implement core features and components of GKE Enterprise, focusing on scalability, performance, and reliability.
• Collaborate with team members to define software architecture, develop detailed designs, and implement robust, maintainable code.
• Develop and maintain test suites to validate the functionality, performance, and reliability of GKE Enterprise.
• Create and execute automated test cases, both unit and integration tests, to ensure code quality and catch regressions.
• Analyze test results and identify areas for improvement in the software development process.
