Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
10 years of experience leading energy transaction structuring and negotiations, utility procurement, energy project development, or finance/consulting roles.
Experience in European power markets (e.g., Transmission and Distribution System Operations) and carbon-free energy technologies.
Nice to Haves:
Experience structuring and negotiating 24/7 carbon-free-energy transactions.
Experience with off-grid solutions for electricity generation and supply (e.g., behind the meter, private wires, etc.).
Experience with energy supply onsite generation solutions or carbon-free advanced technologies (e.g., long duration storage, carbon capture, hydrogen, geothermal, etc.).
Ability to think innovatively and propose commercially and technically creative solutions.
Ability to work in ambiguous, collaborative, and fluid environments.
What You'll Be Doing:
Lead regional energy strategy, assess risks and opportunities for Google’s data center portfolio, and build a carbon-free energy procurement program to meet Google's clean energy goals in the region.
Lead transaction origination, structuring and negotiations for energy supply agreements, carbon-free energy purchase agreements, power infrastructure, and other data center energy agreements, including interconnection agreements.
Build relationships with energy vendors, identify new solutions and opportunities for partnership or expansions in collaboration partner teams.
Collaborate with a variety of energy and infrastructure team members and cross-company partner teams.
Perform analyses and develop salient recommendations based on modeling.
