Data Center Facilities Technician, Controls

Requirements

• Associate's degree, trade school certification, or other certified training in a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience in controls/automation in an industrial or commercial environment.

Nice to Haves

• 5 years of experience in controls/automation, construction/technical environment, or a related field.
• Experience in data centers, hospitals, power plants, or laboratories.
• Ability to communicate with contractors who perform maintenance or upgrade work on the data center systems.

What You'll Be Doing

• Inspect, maintain, and repair various data center systems including servers, network equipment, Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) infrastructure, and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems. This role also involves system administration, access control management, and alarm investigation.
• Provide assistance to technicians as you read blueprints/schematics/ladder logic/sequence of operations, conduct tours of systems, and assess their working order.
• Control, monitor, log, and set alarms for the systems.
• Operate, monitor, maintain, and respond to abnormal conditions in the data center facilities systems and equipment.
• Support startup, commissioning, and integration of new controls equipment and systems into facilities infrastructure.
